What is Reiki?

Reiki is Love
Love is Wholeness
Wholeness is Balance
Balance is Well-Being
Well-Being is freedom from Dis-ease
Remember these Words,
They represent what is Reiki
~ Dr. Mikao Usui

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation and has the added benefit of promoting your body’s natural healing processes.

Are you feeling depleted, disconnected or stuck? You can restore your energy balance using this technique.

Reiki is based on the principle of connecting from the heart to the Source of life energy and loving kindness that is bigger than us.

When we attune to our real selves and to the bigger picture with Reiki, we activate our natural healing processes that help restore our physical, emotional and spiritual wellness.

Chronic stress in our lives depletes our energy and can lead to feelings of emptiness and hopelessness. Reiki can reduce the stress and help restore a feeling of balance and harmony.

About Lynn

I have been practicing and teaching Reiki professionally since 2010.

I am an Usui/Holy Fire II/Karuna® Reiki Master.

My professional  Reiki training comes from Willian Rand and Jessica Miller at the International Center for Reiki.

I recommend you visit the Reiki.org website if you seek more info about this powerful and amazing technique.

I also have  B.A. in Physics from Pacific University, a M.S. in Biophysics from University of California, Berkeley and O.D. (doctor of Optometry) from U.C. Berkeley

I spent 10 years doing vision research and teaching science, then the next 10 years seeing patients and practicing optometry.

The past 10 years were mostly spent raising my 3 children with my husband of 33 years.

I learned to weave in 2008 on a year-long adventure with our family in Chile and Argentina.

Since then, I have tried to “weave” Reiki into every aspect of my life and I put the Reiki energy into all of my weavings.

I have always been curious about the natural world around me and love traveling and learning about other cultures.

I hope to learn something new each day and try to challenge myself.

I try to practice Reiki on myself daily and often send the Reiki energy out to others to help them get through their day too.

I try to make time each day to show gratitude for all that I am, all that I have, and all that I will become.

I strive to be the best I can be today.

I want to be a good resource and to help you on your journey to find your inner light, your balance, and your best Self.

I love helping people to feel better –

I want you to be able to reach your goals whatever they may be.

As a trained health professional, I enjoy being able to bridge the gap between Eastern and Western approaches to health and wellness.

What we do

During a treatment session, the person remains fully clothed and can be sitting in a chair or lying down on a comfortable massage table.

I use pleasant, relaxing background music while my hands are gently placed over various “safe” areas of the body which help the flow of the Reiki energy. An atmosphere of calm warmth, nurture and respect is maintained at all times.

The person receiving the treatment may feel the Reiki energy flowing into them as tingling warmth, or cold or even drips of water (though no water is used)

Reiki never does any harm and flows into the areas of your body that need it most.

Reiki is a wonderful compliment for other healing modalities – M.D.s, Nurses, Acupuncturists, Massage and Physical Therapists, Psychologists, Sports Trainers, Yoga Instructors, life coaches – All have seen the benefit of adding Reiki into their specific healing professions.

Holy Fire II – Reiki  I & II

You will be qualified to practice Reiki upon completion of this workshop. In this 2 day class, you’ll be attuned to Reiki energy, connecting you to this incredible source of loving energy. You will be open to the flow of Reiki, enabling you to channel the energy to yourself and others. This is a beginners course, anyone can learn. Includes both Western & Japanese style Reiki. Each class is a combination of lecture, discussion, demonstration, and practice.

Usui/Holy Fire II, ART/Master Class

You will be a qualified Reiki Master upon completion of this class, with the ability to attune and ignite others to the Reiki energy. The ART/Master training combines both Advanced Reiki Treatment (ART) and combines Usui/Holy Fire II Master Training into one 3 day class (usually taught over a 3 day weekend, 9-6 each day).  To qualify to take this class, a student must have taken Reiki I & II six months prior.
